What if the Other Parent is insisting on a 14 day quarantine before releasing my child to me?

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 virus  could be used by other parent as an excuse to withhold your children from you.

If the other parent is insisting that you quarantine yourself prior to seeing your children, ask yourself whether this is a reasonable request or an excuse to deny you parenting time.

If you recently were on a flight , or in a high risk environment such as a large group of people or work in the health care industry, the request that you remain in quarantine  for 14 days  may be a reasonable request..  If you went to the grocery store, such a request is likely to be unreasonable.

Common sense should be used when making these decisions.  If you cannot come to a resolution with the other parent, you can still seek the  assistance of the court.
